Had my first appointment with a problem regarding my gums . I just want to say how great they are here, its super clean and the staff are so lovely . All my questions were answered, amazing recommendations were made to help me , they were super gentle and explained everything in thorough detail. Usually I have bad anxiety with my teeth and going to the dentists but i was so comfortable the entire time . There is a tv to distract u on the ceiling , and they keep u informed on everything they are doing or need to do so you dont panic ! I even had a check up phone call which I think is lovely
I saw Anupa today and a dental nurse (blonde hair, so sorry cant remember the name)! Both absolutely lovely and made me feel at ease. I was very concerned about my teeth and they came up with a brilliant plan to get me back on track. I went to get checked, but have signed up for them to be my regular dentist as I felt so comfortable with them! Every step, every answer was answered with such clarity that by the end I was more chilled and calm! I strongly advise Lateral Dental Clinic! Such a beautiful practice too! Attended the clinic nervous and emotional, left smiling and feeling more comfortable with the next steps! I have to travel 30 mins by car to get there, but its so worth it! Thank you!
My daughter and I recently had a couple of treatments at Lateral Dental Clinic. She isn’t usually a fan of dentists, but she said it was the best experience she’s ever had. She loved being able to watch Netflix during the appointment and said she’s never felt so “chilled.”
My experience was the same. Matthew has a lovely, calming nature and puts you at ease instantly. The staff were friendly yet professional—nothing like any dentists we’ve been to before.

Walking into the clinic it didn't feel like your typical dentist at all. Greeted by Alex on reception who was lovely. I then met Dr Matthew to go through what would be happening & he could sense my nerves but he was so kind & down to earth that within minutes those nerves were gone. I told him a bit about why I got into the mess I had in the first place which was an excessive addiction to caffeine that I don't miss anymore as that's what caused the damage that led to me having the temporary dentures I have now. Going into the surgery with him & the nurse Rosie I think as the initial conversation with him had eased my nerves the whole process was so relaxed. He looked at my current situation and he agreed that my current dentures weren't in the best state so it was decided to go for the implants & a referral was put in place for this to happen. He said he was happy to see me if the implants turn out not to be a viable option to replace my current dentures with ones that are better fitting as well as being of a much better quality than what I currently have which is something I'm definitely going to 100% get done as I want something there so I can smile better & be more confident as with how quickly the current dentures were done by my previous dentist roughly 4 years ago they are now loose, poorly fitting & making me feel fed up. I'm confident enough in saying that Dr Matthew is an absolute legend & n I'llot pushy in any way I think his kindness has made me want to officially sign up with this practice as he is the guy to go and see for anyone feeling nervous & anxious like myself . Honestly 5* does not do this place enough. If a higher rating was available then I would give it easily. For someone who had a fear of the dentist this was such a great experience. Would recommend this place to anyone
Can’t fault the service I received for an emergency appointment! Easy to book and even had space to move up my appointment. The decor is beautiful and helped me feel relaxed. I am a super anxious person and hadn’t been to a dentist in a while but i was instantly made to feel at ease, Dr Stephen’s was amazing, and i felt so relaxed. Being able to watch netflix on a screen above my head while getting a filling definitely makes it feel a lot better. Thank you again!
I first visited Lateral dental clinic on the open day, with a view to finding a clinic that would provide me with the reassurance I needed.
I was looking for a clinic that provided sedation, for nervous patients as I was really struggling with anxiety after having some bad experiences previously.
I found Lateral dental clinic to be beautiful decorative, nothing remotely like the familiar dentist’s I’d been to. It was relaxing, calming and had a wonderful feeling about it.
All the staff were friendly and made me feel very welcome.
I chatted briefly to Dr Matthew and was impressed from the very beginning. Consequently resulting in a consultation to discuss my concerns and to talk through cosmetic options.
Previously I’d had two consults with different dentists and both fell short of my expectations because they didn’t see what I did.
Dr Matthew was the only one that told me exactly what I thought needed to be addressed, without prompting we were on the same page, very honest and very reassuring with realistic expectations.
A few weeks later my smile transformation started. I arrived very nervous and apprehensive, I was made very welcome from the minute I arrived, and my nerves and anxiety soon disappeared.
All the staff are super supportive, friendly and genuinely caring.
My nervous first appointment turned out to be one of the best dental appointments I’ve ever had. Gone were my concern and fear and every appointment after that first, have been equally as impressive.
Dr Matthew takes the time to explain every procedure, he is super gentle when administering anaesthetic (one of my phobias! ) and makes the whole process pleasurable, I soon got over the dentist chair anxiety and didn’t require any sedation on any visits, because of the understanding and care provided by each and every member of the team.
My treatment is now complete and I absolutely love my new smile.
The expertise of Dr Matthew and the relationship with his ceramicist has definitely demonstrated they are both very skilled and knowledgeable in delivering beautiful smiles.
I cannot thank Lateral Dental Clinic enough for making every appointment pleasurable a massive endorsement from a once frightened patient.

In my 27 years of life I think this was the best dental experience I've ever had. Honestly super impressed by the kindness of the staff, Doctor Mathew knew exactly how to help me, he didn't try to make me feel inferior in any way ! A very humble doctor. He was super kind and talked me through each step. Made me feel comfortable. They had a cool tv on the ceiling so I didn't have to just sit there. 10/10. Never thought I'd be leaving a dental practice a review but honestly had such a pleasant experience. I could see Dr Mathew was more interested on how to aid me rather than refer extra appointments or procedures. Absolute legend. Emergency appointment was available same day (my normal dentist was over a month) Very friendly staff and my new regular dentist.
Brilliant dental practice, welcomed instantly with a drink and put at ease by the fantastic staff, Dr Stephens was very friendly and the nurses that saw me were excellent and professional, particularly Jennie who did an amazing job, i’ll be back next year!
Recently came here for my regular check up appointment and also for my follow up treatment. The clinic feels very clean and when you walk in it doesn't feel like that 'typical dentist clean and smell' which for me is a bonus as it just made it a much more pleasant/relaxing experience.
All of the staff were really friendly, from the staff who were doing the check-in, booking my appointment to the staff providing me treatment options and explaining which treatment plan options were essential and which were optional.
This will definitely be my new regular dentist.

Had a dental extraction under Dr Stephens, I at the best of times am not a fan of dentists but from the moment i sat down I was made to feel comfortable and calm the whole process was explained to me and I was given plenty of numbing cream which made the injections more tolerable
The wisdom tooth came out painlessly , the anticipation was definitely worse than the actual procedure. I was given plenty of aftercare information as well

I saw the new dental clinic had opened and I was in need of a new dentist, so made an appointment which was easy and efficient. On arrival ..Wow.. the clinic looks so modern and fresh- it didn’t feel overly clinical like a lot do which put me at ease straight away. The dentist was totally professional and I was so impressed with the scan he did of my teeth and could then show me on a screen- I’ve never seen anything like that before. He answered my million questions and I have a much more educated plan of what I want going forward. I am booked in for the first part of my treatment in a few weeks. I also was so impressed with how good he was with my 2 and a half year old toddler. We have had failed dentist trips with her before but this time she allowed him to have a look in her mouth and loved the TV on the ceiling which was a great distraction. I couldn’t recommend Lateral Dental any higher - it’s a truly holistic take on dentistry!
Highly recommend! I recently visited Lateral for an emergency appointment after experiencing complications from an extraction done by another dentist who would only see me again for a steep price. Lateral was able to fit me in within hours of my call, and the care was both professional and affordable. The clinic itself is beautiful, and everyone I interacted with - the doctor, assistant, and front desk team were so lovely and welcoming. I attended the open launch day and was really impressed! The practice is clean, modern, and stylishly designed. The staff were incredibly friendly and took the time to answer all my questions, which really put me at ease. I’m looking forward to booking my treatment soon. Had my first appointment today with Matthew and Rosie. From reception to the dental chair they were very kind, showed an interest in me and made me feel very comfortable.
Matthew explained everything as he went along and afterwards showed me everything to do with my teeth on the big screen, making sure everything was easily understandable. Any questions were answered with good knowledge and I was set up on a plan that I had an input in and felt happy with.

Just been in for my first appointment after winning an Instagram competition for some free treatment and I am overwhelmed. The clinic is beautifully decorated, equipped with lots of modern equipment I'd never experienced before and I now have a treatment plan to get a healthier and brighter smile over the next 18 months or so. Matthew, my dentist, was really clear with explanations, walked through a range of options with me and both him and the dental nurse (Jo?) were really reassuring about my nervousness around dental work. Special mention to the lady on reception (I didn't catch her name) who was both warm and welcoming and really looked after me! It was all just a lovely experience and I'd highly recommend here for any dental work anyone needs doing 🙂

Dropped by over the weekend for the open day and had a chance to tour the clinic—truly impressed! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. From the beautifully designed interiors to the cutting-edge equipment, it’s clear that Anupa and Matt have put thoughtful care into every detail. Their passion for delivering top-quality patient care really shines through.

We visited the open event at the weekend and were extremely impressed by both the quality of the facilities and the friendly and helpful staff. The clinic does not feel 'clinical' at all and has a welcoming relaxed waiting area with refreshments available. The consultation and treatment rooms are well equipped and modern and the team are established professionals in their different specialist areas.
